My passion for making mosaics started over 10 years ago, at the hospice where I worked as an artist-in-residence. I invited my friend and fellow sculptor, the mosaic artist Anne Schwegmann-Fielding, to deliver a workshop for myself and the patients, and collaborate on a creative project for the hospice garden.
From that moment on I was hooked on the process of mosaics and utterly inspired by the range of recycled materials that could be creatively used to make beautiful patterns and designs.
I run my workshops from my studio on the Chevening Estate, a breathtakingly beautiful spot in the heart of Kent. My workshops are for all ages and abilities, either one to one or in small groups.
The workshops can be as short as 2 hours or spread over two days, depending on how far you would like to go with your designs, as well as grouting them when they are finished.
My workshop includes all the materials you will need, as well as providing you with a delicious homemade lunch and refreshments.
I also encourage anyone to bring any special crockery or china of their own that they wish to incorporate into their designs, especially if it holds some sentimental value or has a particular nostalgia for them.
If you would like to learn the art of mosaic, please get in touch to discuss your ideas and I will design a workshop around your needs, depending on the length of the workshop and how many people are attending.
