Most of my mosaic pieces are commission based, except when I open my studio during June for South East Open Studios (please see SEOS page for more information), for which I create a unique collection of ready-made sculptures.
Past commissions include tabletops and wall panels, specifically designed to compliment a client’s garden, incorporating their colour schemes and ideas. I like to work in collaboration with the client and learn as much as I can about what inspires them, as this helps me with the drawings and colour palette that I will eventually work from.
Smaller commissions include mosaic milk churns, buckets, jugs and scallop shells for wedding, birthday and anniversary presents. Sometimes I’m asked if I can design something around special crockery that belongs to the client, which makes the work even more meaningful.
It doesn’t matter what the occasion is or what your concept is – I can work with you to realise your ideas. My studio is full of vintage china and retro objects that will inspire and help you decide what you would like for your garden or home.
